I'm sorry this photo is so tiny, but Magnolias are so tiny too. One of the lovliest little feminine novelties I've ever been introduced to. I love these little things. I tried them last night for the first time at a friend's home. We were talking about Mark Twains Autobiography, which is a great read, and she brought out these tiny treats. They made their debut in around 1860 and were a kind of breath mint for ladies. The flavors are:
White - Carnation, Pink - Rose, Orange - Jasmine, Yellow - Cashou, Green - Pear Blossom, Blue & Purple - Violet.

Darling and so yummy. Thanks for sharing today. For some reason, I just couldn't believe one of the drops tasted like roses. How fun!
