Fabric Flowers...

I love these fabric flowers that I got at The Gap last Saturday. They are little jacket pins, but I think they would be lovely in a hairdo as well. One of the yellow ones will be part of the giveaway on Friday. It has been a crazy morning. I was up early to get c registered for some of her summer activities. She got in! whew!
5 boxes need finishing.
1 order needs shipping
The house is a complete wreck.
One nephew is coming over.
Piles of laundry and ironing.
It's going to be a flying by kind of day.. they all are that way lately. Life is short. It's about time for me to start painting Christmas boxes again! Things are starting to look up.. in The Glass Castle.. I'm almost finished. I don't think I could read this book a second time.. it's pretty rough reading. I would say that it's a book about 2 very intelligent but seriously damaged/mentally ill parents trying to raise 4 children. Atleast the children have each other. I going to finish reading/listening while I clean today.
I hope all of you are having grand adventures today! What are you going to do today? Anything interesting?

If you call laundry interesting then count my life as one exciting moment after the next. I love the flowers. They would so be cute in hair or on a shoulder bag. I can't believe you have to start thinking about Christmas already. You are very popular girl. Your reading desires are very impressive. Good luck with the catching up and have fun with the nephew.

Love those flowers! they are darling on those crocheted hats that all the teeny boppers are wearing right now... just a neutral colored hat, and the jazzing it up with the different flowers!
Have a wonderful day! I'm doing about the same: cleaning the kitchen, nursing a baby, folding some laundry, nursing a baby, cleaning the bathrooms, changing a diaper and nursing a baby, watching it snow (gasp), running warm clothes to Thing1 for her track meet!

Have a glorious day!

We had a Mommy & Me music class this morning and now we're back home to pack up Fall/Winter clothes and pull out the Spring/Summer clothes. Definitely need to clean up around here...maybe even clear off that dining room table! Enjoy your day.

Those flowers are super cute. My daughters favorite colour is yellow, so how cool is that.

I can't believe it is Motherboard right? Snow again? Really? It has to stop eventually right? I am trying to finish a couple of dolls and you guessed it-laundry! Must be that day for everyone!

Hi Tiff what great fabric flowers. So many things you could use them for.
Sometimes there are not enough hours in the day!!

I am going to introduce William Carlos Williams and Imagery to my students. Then I'm going to pay my rent. Then I'm going to make Brandon some chicken:

Dump all this in a crock pot:

4 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 cups of water
2 chicken breasts (or more)
2 tablespoons of worchestershire sauce
3/4 cup of ketchup
1 can of crushed pineapple
1 chopped up red bell pepper
brown sugar (as little or as much as you like to sweeten it)

serve over rice

I read "The Glass Castle" and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" thinking they were both fiction. When I finished both of them and learned they were non-fiction I was shocked. I don't think I could have read either knowing they were true stories.

Oh! And my book selection for June is "The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio." by Terry Ryan

Good luck with the chores. I'm going to go do one thing I don't want to do while Golda practices, which she doesn't want to do. Then we'll both feel better. Did you save me an owl? If not, next batch!

I like Janice's pick for June!

Bonjour Tiffany! My grandmother used to say that you can not be an artist and have a perfectly kept house at the same time! Well, it suits me just fine! The flowers are beautiful, would love to see them in bold colors too! Thanks for stopping by my blog regularly and for your comments about my new Frida painting. Have a great weekend! LuLu

I am so happy you chose to blog about these flowers! J Crew's CrewCuts line has some beautiful floral pins but the prices were outrageous. I was actually thinking of trying to create my own this week; maybe I'll try this first, though. You should have a look at the CrewCuts version, they added a large rhinestone in the middle.
