Douglas Toys is a company that I admire. Based in New Hampshire, these stuffed animals are made very well, priced very reasonably, soft and cute and get this moms...... drum roll... all of them that I have ever purchased are MACHINE WASHABLE... NOT SURFACE WASHABLE... MACHINE! Hooray! Check them out sometime.

I recently wrote to Douglas specifically about washability and this is the info I recieved thought you all might like to know...
Anything we make is washable, and if it can fit into the machine,it is
machine washable.
We do say that if the item has longer hair, especially our horses mane
and tail, unicorns mane and tail and any other item like that that you
should either hand wash and air dry or machine wash but
DO NOT LET THEM GO THRU A SPIN CYCLE!
and check often. Hair matting would be the problem.
