These are some of the baby trees we've been planting over the weekend. The trees on the right are Chanticleer Pear Trees they get to be 40 feet high and they turn red in the fall.
They don't make pears...
The other little tree is a Betchel Crab which I love because of its pink blossoms in the spring. I hope they will do well, but this is our first time planting trees so I don't know what to expect.
(red leaves.. not my photo)

I'm currently researching trees to plant in my backyard. I am jeolous you are done picking and planting.
Don't be jealous yet, there are still 3 large trees and 2 lilacs on the back patio just waiting for people to have the energy to dig the holes for them to live in. We are beat.
we've been meaning to plant a tree... i have yet to research what is beautiful AND grows well in texas. lol!
cute- you should totally take photos of your kids next to the trees, it will be fun to see them both grow so big.
my sister planted a tree when her daughter was born and it was fun to see how htey both growed so much over time.
my comment sounded a lot more meaningful in my head....
