Cupcakes...

We like cupcakes around here (cupcakes taste better than cake)... but we.. actually I sure make a mess making them. How do you get the cupcake batter in the liners without spilling it all over the counter and the pan so you have to soak the pan after to get the burnt on batter off? I also tried to make these with peanut M's in the shape of a heart, which didn't really work out.. I will just put ooooie goooie cinnamon hearts on next time or maybe just one tiny red hot.. that might be cute.

I have had the same problem with spilling batter on the sides and on the pan. My solution came by using a scoop from Pampered Chef (one of my favorite wedding presents) to scoop cupcake batter! It works perfectly, gives you just the right amount the spills are history! It's under "Kitchenware" and is called "Medium Scoop" and is $11.00. Pretty cupcakes!

That is so funny Amy! I have that thing already. I was using it to make cookies all the same size. I will try it for cupcakes now! Thanks!

Hi Tiffany! What a pretty cupcake! I can't remember the last time I made cupcakes, but I prob did make a mess. I'll check out Amy's link.

Speaking of links and baking, you'd probably enjoy looking at Natalea's post today, of a tea party she just hosted...

Yummy! Look so pretty! I was just trying to decide today whether to go with sugar cookies or cupcakes for V day. Now I am leaning toward cupcakes.

I use the aluminum foil liners that don't require the muffin pans, they hold up on their own, so I put them on a cookie sheet. Much easier to clean up a cookie sheet than a muffin pan. :)

They still look awfully tasty. I don't have any solution for keeping the cake batter where it's supposed to go ... but I may try amy's idea!
