If your kids haven't seen this, it's just a classic. I love it. It's available in a limited way on DVD and there are a few old VHS tapes out there. Really fun! Does anyone know if this made it onto any of the Disney Rarities or any other collections available now?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do remember watching that special as a child on the Disney channel. It was a favorite then as well! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I wish they still made cute cartoon specials like that.
I haven't seen this movie. But do you remember Pete's Dragon? I vaguely recall watching it at a drive-in so many years ago. I think Helen Reddy was in the movie or sang a song in it...I can't be sure.
I watched that when I was a kid too, and had forgotten all about it until this post!
Why yes Tiff you can get this on DVD is is on the Walt Disney Treasures Behind the Scenes. It is a silver case and costs approx 20.00 maybe a little more. I purchased it a long time ago so I don't remember. You can always order from Disney. Also to Blue House Mom yes it was Helen Reddy who sang Candle on the Water. Hope that helps
