A movie about a man who lives in Virginia, but does not believe in the cause of the Confederacy during The Civil War and tries very hard to keep his family safe and protected during that terrible conflict. This is one of Jimmy Stewarts many really great performances and a great film as well.

My husband and his family are huge western fans - and Shanandoah is one of them! I've seen way too many, of these movies - although, funny thing - they've grown on me. Cute post!
