Bridge to Terabithia... Little Manhatten...

Josh Hutcherson in Little Manhatten
Bridge to Terabithia
I loved this book when I was younger and I can't wait to see it this weekend. I am so pleased that Josh Hutcherson was chosen to play the lead in this film. I love his performance in Little Manhatten, which if you haven't seen it, see it soon. It is darling...

I have talked to some people who say the preview isnt like the movie at all. All that computer graphic stuff is only 4-6 minutes long and that the movie is sad. I read the book when i was little but dont remember it. I have about 60 pages left in it now and it is different than i thought it would be.

Saw Terabithia last night with my 12 year old daughter and a friend. I had read the book when I was about 12 (it was published in 1977) and all I remembered is the "tragedy" (not spoiling for those who haven't read/seen). The movie was spectacular, not terribly scary, not mushy, and the CG stuff was beautiful. The music was good, too.

hmmm, I haven't read this book yet... should I read it to my kids or wait a few years? (J is 4 and L is 3)

Sheesh, I think I would wait a few years. I still didn't get to see the show, the lines were terrible both Saturday and Monday and I won't pay $6 to see a movie sitting on the front row. I just won't do it. :)

Tiff, you'll have to let me know what you think, I have heard that it is really a sad movie from Robert's friend, Chad. He said he felt like an all day sucker after going to see it with his daughters. I will wait and get more reviews from you and your readers.

I don't know about a sad show... I'm going to wait with you Jenni. It atleast has to have a happy ending.
