My Favorite Valentine Book...

Joan Walsh Anglund...

The Bridge At Andau...

This is the amazing true story of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. The pages expose both the worst and the best of humanity and in the end the book honors the over 200,000 refugees whose courage will forever inspire me.

Ballet Flats...

J Crew has ballet flats, new for spring. Darling. I love these, but flats kill my feet.

Pondering Flooring...

This is a link the the Pergo flooring site, which I have been using just to look at colors. Either white is back or it has never left, but I really like Whiteside Pine. Take a look, then tell me what flooring you are dreaming of and why.

Granny Chic Tooth Fairy...

Who knew she was so lovely. See her and other cute things on this fun site... BabyGoesVintage.com

Granny Chic Cute of the Week...

Instead of a Baby Grand...

If you have a space where a Baby Grand might someday sit, but you are waiting for funds to arrive, how about book marking that space with a beautiful round occasional table where a large flower might be placed. This beauty is from Maine Cottage and comes in 40 finishes.

Sis Boom...

I love this site. It has such beautiful things.

I love buckets...

Love these buckets from The MacBeth Collection...

Does the cute owl remind you of anyone?

Anthropologie was selling mass produced copies of Chika's work, a Los Angelas based artist, for Christmas. I bought 3 to use as birthday party decor. This cute owl is a one-of-a-kind original and is available through Mahar Drygoods, a site I adore and found through Jenni's friend Design Mom who has awsome posts everyday. You'll love them both!

Valentines...

I finally finished putting the Christmas
away and getting the Valentines out. Hurray!

Spice Rack...

Boo, did you want something like this?
See it here.

These are lovely flowers...

See them here.

Sentimental Reasons...

This tablecloth is made out of pink wall paper. What do you think of that? I just couldn't figure out how those scallops looked so crisp, what an iron. No. Wallpaper. Better Homes and Gardens has a weddings issue that is just beautiful out now, and since I am not planning a wedding, I am enjoying looking at all the pink paper favors they have, which are really cute by the way, and thinking of making them as Valentines. You know I'll never do it, but I would if there were two of me.

Sparklies...

If I had pierced ears, I might ask for these Valentines...

Today in Northern Utah...

The wintry day, descending to its close,
Invites all wearied nature to repose,
And shades of night are falling dense and fast,
Like sable curtains closing o'er the past.
Pale through the gloom the newly fallen snow
Wraps in a shroud the silent earth below
As tho 'twere mercy's hand had spread the pall,
A symbol of forgiveness unto all.

Stuff...

My sugar girl, and I love her, came
from The Black Apple Shop.
She is reminding me to be sweet
and not eat as many sweets.
I just put the finishing touches on a
back-breaking bunch of "smile"
conversations hearts.
And, lastly, I just wanted to show you
one of my favorite paintings by
sister Alicia. Untitled.

Jenni's Blog...

Don't mis Jenni's fun blog about Honeybell's today! I want some!

Miss Potter...

I want to see this movie so badly. I love Peter Rabbit.
