Granny Chic Cute of the Week...
When I was in school, my favorite professor could rhapsodize about his primrose patch. Now, I love this bright little flower. They are cold-hardy and are out in the nursery with the first of the spring plants. They are cheap and 4 inch pots are less than $2. Sadly, I kill them all the time, because I love to have them in a pot in the house and they don't like it in here, but they are the perfect happy little Valentine flower, so I have to have them inside.Tuesday, January 09, 2007

Lovely Shabby...
I like this old tin pot. And, I like the whole Shabby Chic thing to a point, a lot of it is much more shabby than chic. The Bella Cottage , however has a few fun pieces that I really like.

If ever there was an artist with a good valentine idea, that is just lovely, it would be Cathy Penton. I love her Valentine ornaments which you can see in Romantic Homes this month or here at her sight. Beautiful.

Swallow Ring...
As I had suspected, yellow gold seems to be making the big comeback. Look at Anthropologie's selections in jewelry, almost all yellow gold.
Which brings me to my two theories of jewelry.
1. You must choose between silver and gold, pick a favorite and be married to it. ( I don't like mixing so much).
2. (this is my favorite) Really every married woman needs two wedding rings, to keep current and everything.
