Lars is a sweet and tender hearted man who grew up with a heart-broken and silent widower. Lars is lonely. When he buys a life size doll and introduces her to family as his girlfriend, his whole community becomes concerned. This is one of the most original, dearest stories of love that I've seen. This film about a church community that reaches out kindly and without judgement to save one of their own is a do not miss.
This is one of my favorite movies, after I had watched it once and knew there was not going to be any "funny stuff" with the doll. I then rewatched it and really enjoyed every single moment.
